BLIZZARD!!!!

Well...the sky has officially fallen!!  We had a big blizzard come through late Monday and all day Tuesday!  It's so bad that Justin's office is even closed...which never happens!!!  But it has been pretty cool to watch.  Makes me so thankful for out warm home when it's this cold outside.  After it died down Justin attempted to get my car out of the garage to see if he would be able to head into work the next day.  That didn't happen.  Got stuck at the bottom and after 30 min of trying got it about halfway back up the driveway and gave up!  He ventured around 11am this morning and borrowed a snow shovel and regular shovel from some neighbors who are also friends of ours.  He was out there for 4 hours.  I was really concerned and kept checking on him to make sure he wasn't over doing it!  He did take a break though to have some play time with Lincoln and Lauren.  I was really skeptical about them going out with it being to cold but they had been begging me all morning and day so I gave in.  Luckily they have snow bibs and really good coats and gloves that I wasn't too concerned.  It's pretty sad when the kids have better snow gear than Justin and I.  May have to invest in some for ourselves as well.  Would really like to get out in it but I would be that lucky person to get frost bite!!

A pick up truck pulling an ambulance in our neighborhood.
They got stuck in front of our house!

Our good friend and neighbor Todd ran out with his shovel
to help them get unstuck.  Then even followed them down to
help some more.  What a guy!!

Another plow truck headed to help the ambulance....
he became stuck as well!  Luckily he was able to get himself unstuck!

Took the kids out to the garage so they could see

This was it...I noticed that the kids faces were turning
red and lots of snot dripping from their noses!!  It was time to go in.

They had a blast outside though!

We are, well the kids and I, are starting to climb the walls a bit....cabin fever!!!  Really hope we can get out and go to some friends house in the next couple of days.  In a selfish way though I am really glad it happened at the beginning of the week so be the weekend we can enjoy ourselves as a family!!  Lots of family time this week!  We snuggled up and watched movies!  Justin and I watched Secretariat...great move!  Makes me miss horse racing a bunch!  Highly recommend!  Also got some much needed closet organizing done though and have started gathering all my stuff together for the Just Between Friends sale!  Hoping to make some good money this season!!!  It's my way of contributing to the family!

Have really been trying lately to potty train Lauren.  Should have started yesterday but thought of it a little late.  But we started the day with big girl panties today.  She has only had 1 accident!!!  She has been realizing when she needs to go and lets me know.  Figured out the wording though.  Instead of asking her if she needs to go, I have been telling her to let me know when she needs to go!  And she is!!!!  I am so proud of her and really hope she can keep it up!  Would love to mark that off of my shopping list and not have to spend money on pull-ups anymore!

Looking forward to the weekend!  LifeKids Saturday night, serving and church on Sunday and then headed to some friends of ours for a Super-bowl/birthday party!!  Thank you to my awesome parents who are going to keep the kiddos so we can have a little break!  Love ya!

Been saying prayers and hoping everyone is staying warm and safe through this very cold weather!  News thermometer says 15 degrees!! YIKES!!!
